The Original UnBraider
Step-by-Step Tutorial
STEP 1: Cut Excess Braiding Hair
Cut any excess braiding hair evenly across, just below where your natural hair ends.
Tip from Khadija: "Start with cutting off any long braid ends that extend past your natural hair. This will ensure you’re not trying to undo extra hair that doesn’t need to be untangled, giving you a cleaner, faster process."
STEP 2: DETANGLE YOUR BRAIDS
Generously spray an oil-based detangler over your braids to prevent tangles and help the UnBraider glide smoothly.
Tip from Khadija: "Don’t be shy with the detangler! A little extra product will help soften the braids and make the takedown smoother. Trust me, your scalp will thank you!"
STEP 3: UNBRAID WITH EASE
Securely hold the braids, then gently insert the fine points of the UnBraider between the braided sections. Brush out your braids carefully, and let the UnBraider do the work! Start with 1 and ease your way to 3-5 braids depending on your style.
Tip from Khadija: "Take your time and let the UnBraider glide through the braid without pulling. For larger braids, use longer strokes; for smaller braids, smaller strokes work best."
