It works pretty well when taking out one braid at a time using the short side. The lingside, not as effective.

I really do love the tool. It really deserves 5 stars, but I'm giving 4 only because there is no way for me to comment on not receiving the color I originally ordered. I do understand things happen and systems fail, however, the pink tool was the reason I placed the order to begin with, it's the color that caught my eye for my grandbaby. We got a black one instead, because it was said to be an error on the site, then it was shipped to me in black without asking me if I wanted a different color or refund. Business can't be done like that to remain successful, even when your product is amazing. But again, the tool is a really great product.
