Meet the Founders
As a mother of four girls, it would take hours to take down braids, it would often take the entire weekend. The process was long and inefficient - we knew women wearing protective hairstyles needed a faster way to remove their braids. The Original Unbraider was created to simplify the braid takedown routine for women by providing an innovative solution that efficiently and gently removes 4 or more braids at once. All while detangling and straightening the hair, saving time and preserving the health and beauty of your hair. Natasha created the company Glamour Devine and released the first Original UnBraider in 2004.
After the original launch of The Unbraider in 2004, Natasha decided to put the comb on hiatus due to family matters. In 2023, Glamour Divine Inc. and The Original Unbraider was relaunched by the youngest daughter of Natasha, Khadija Imara. Her hope was to create a beauty line that would empower women and preserve the tradition of wearing protective hairstyles while building a platform for connection and celebration of her culture.
