How many braids can I brush out?

I am using the UnBraider and it is not working. What can I do?
The UnBraider is designed to take down braids, and can be used several different ways to reduce the take down time. Micro, small and x-small braids benefit from the comb the most, because brushing out several braids at once can be achieved. Larger braid takedowns can see a reduction in time, by individually brushing out the braids, achieving a faster time than manual efforts but may not brush out the same amount as smaller braids.
If there is a lot of tangling during your take down, do the following:
- Add more of a moisturizing detangler, that will prevent breakage, and add a little bit more pressure while holding onto the braids and not causing tension on the scalp
- Small brushing motion downward
- Boil water add either conditioner or oil to it and dip the hair prior to the takedown to loosen especially the thick part of the braids.
- Cut excess braiding hair as you go that cause extra tangles
- Every customer has had different ways that they like it done, and it does take time to adjust to a new tool.
- Shampoo and condition the braids prior to the take down. The hair must be well maintained and the plastic of the hair needs to be loosened to see results.
